One down, many to go

As I walked up the stairs to the 5th floor, I let my thoughts wander. I was ahead of schedule, my coffee in one hand, croissant in the other, backpack heavy with books and laptop. Then a perverse thought hit my mind. I had 4 flights of stairs, 10 to 15 pages, a car to pick up, a room to pack, a paper to pass in, and a friend to move into an apartment standing in my way before I could feel the bliss of home. With each trudging step I took the task felt more immense. I was getting closer to the 5th floor, getting closer to starting those pages, but Wednesday morning is so far away and watching all my friends go home has left me with little motivation.

I call this post proof of the task ahead.

I am trying to write a paper but my room smells like weed.

It wasn't my fault.

Shuffle

Its strange when things feel completely 50 50: a balance of the best and the worst, nothing in the middle. Everything for the past week is either terrible or fantastic. I cant tell whether I want to cry or laugh most of the time. Settling for a neutral 5 on a scale from one to ten seems the best option. But things are good for the most part. I love being back here, it feels more like home than home did. The library is my new favorite place. I just feel tired. I need to fix a few things, but they seem too big right now and I cant handle it.
But at the same time, I am happy, confused but happy.
I discovered a few places on campus today that I had never seen before. I discovered a new love for the ukulele.

Back in the swing of things

Sometimes I think blogging is a synonym for procrastination.
And let me tell ya, I can think of a few hand gestures I'd like to give the people of the ancient Aegean civilization if i met any. I mean, did they have to leave all those artifacts behind? Did they have to give me a paper topic to write about? Talk about considerate.

Pies and Pies and Pie

Less than a week until thanksgiving!
Coffee keeps me awake!
Projects complete!
Small phrase!
Still tiny!
Baby!

Song for the next week and all times when times when I miss you
